Pinecone Learning Center is a learning center in San Jose, which is well known for its dedicated tutors and their systematic work schedule. They have a math program and a reading program which has been designed to cater to every child’s unique needs. It progresses upwards in terms of difficulty. Your child will be evaluated and then the decision will be made on which level he or she will start. Do not get disheartened if your child is starting at a lower lever than his/her peers. It is better to start the child at a level he/she is comfortable in to feel a boost in confidence. Some children may not have gotten their basics right and the tutors would prefer to spend some time addressing this before tackling more complicated levels. Do not compare your child’s work with her/his peers as the experienced tutors at Pinecone believe in letting the child decide the pace. But you can be rest assured that your child actually understands what he/she is learning and will start to enjoy the subject. You will see the results very soon as the grades start rising. Visit their websites atwww.pineconelearning.comand www.mathtutorsbayarea.com . You can call the owner and principal tutor Vivian Hobbs at (408) 270-4548 to fix an appointment. |

Getting ahead in English
Learning English is not just about learning spellings and meanings. It involves grammar and comprehension and many other parts. Sometimes, just English lessons at school are not enough to help a child better her/his English skills. A child needs constant and consistent help to improve vocabulary, comprehension and grammar. Some strategies that help in improving English skills include reading aloud as this will help the child with their listening skills. Having conversations with the child and writing on various topics will also go a long way. Pinecone Learning Center has a very systematic method in improving a child’s English skills. They have a Reading Program which includes an early comprehension series designed to promote reading for meaning. These beginning comprehension booklets provide a variety of exercises while developing new vocabulary. The curriculum continues with more advanced comprehension that contains great variety in subject matter. You can find out more about their reading program at http://www.pineconelearning.com/reading_program.html. They also have a systematic Math program which is designed to help your child learn Math in a systematic, sequential way. You can learn more about their Math Program at http://www.mathtutorsbayarea.com/. You can call this learning center in San Jose at (408) 270-4548 to schedule an appointment to meet with Ms. Hobbs, the instructor. |

Don’t play the blame game
Some parents are under the misapprehension that they have failed as parents if their child is not doing well at school. They blame themselves; they blame the teachers, the schools, the system, even the children. Playing the blame game is easy but it’s not going to help your child. Instead, take a different look at tutoring. You did not study to be a teacher and maybe up to a level you are able to help your child, but your child may need the help of a certified and experienced tutor at some point.
You also may have a hundred chores to do during the course of a day and squeezing in time to sit with your child may sometimes be impossible. Due to these reasons the tutoring that you give your child may not be consistent. At a tutoring center, a tutor is there to do just one thing, Tutor your child! So if your child needs help with his/her lessons enroll him/her in a good tutoring center like Pinecone Learning Center.
